Suzette  Williamson, Weatherhead Coach

Suzette takes a relational approach to coaching with an emphasis on individual purpose, giftedness, vision and values, while refining self-awareness, effective leadership skills and career satisfaction.

Suzette has been working with diverse populations of individuals seeking to improve their leadership and management potential for over 25 years. Suzette is an Executive Coach certified to administer various personalized assessments to include the Hay Group’s Emotional and Social Competency Inventory, frequently used in the Weatherhead Executive Degree, Certificate and Custom Corporate Programs. As an Executive Coach, Suzette takes a relational approach with an emphasis on individual purpose, giftedness, vision and values, while helping to refine deeper self-awareness, effective leadership skills, and career satisfaction. Building on the power of intentional change, Suzette promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual value of life-long personal improvement. She has a passion and interest in the area of resiliency and also serves as a Life Coach and Instructor in the areas of stress management, resilience training and mindfulness for the Connor Integrative Health Network of University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH.

Her career at Case Western Reserve University included over seven years in the area of Executive Education at the Weatherhead School Management. She managed both degree and non-degree programming, where she worked closely with executives and professionals engaged in advanced education and leadership development before joining the Case School of Engineering for the remaining 14 years of her career at the University.  During her tenure in engineering, Suzette integrated her interest in both disciplines and eventually held the position as Executive Director for the Institute for Management and Engineering.  She was initially instrumental in programming and distant learning activities for working engineers, followed by the start-up operations for the Institute and launch of an innovative joint degree program, the Master of Engineering and Management (MEM) Program for domestic and international engineering graduates. This degree program is offered through a partnership with the Weatherhead School of Management and the Case School of Engineering where Suzette enjoyed working collaboratively with her former colleagues.

Following nine years in private practice, Suzette recently joined EMERGE Counseling Services, established in 1973, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She will join the EMERGE team and serve a clinician in their new extension site in Columbia Station, OH. She holds a M.A. in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary, her independent clinical licensure with the State of Ohio and a B.S. in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace College.  She enjoys serving individuals and families build the needed skills and strategies for recovering, coping and growing through the many challenges needed to live effective and meaningful lives in an increasing complex world.
