Peggy Gries Wager is an executive coach and founder of PGW Consulting LLC. She coaches professionals to improve their leadership effectiveness by accessing their passion, developing their emotional intelligence and practicing new behaviors for sustained success. With over 15 years of business experience at Fortune 100 institutions, universities, and non-profit organizations, Peggy thoughtfully leads her clients through a goal oriented, strength-based coaching process, utilizing the Intentional Change Theory model. Her clients include CEOs, C-suite executives, partners, and high potentials across a variety of organizations and industries, including Fifth Third Bank, Moen, McDonald Hopkins, Kaiser Permanente, Kin +Carta, Hillel International, Cardinal Credit Union and Allegheny Health Network.
Prior to founding PGW Consulting LLC, Peggy served as Interim Executive Director where she led The Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale University. Thrust into an emergency turnaround, her strategic and emotional intelligence skills enabled her to mobilize her team and lead an organizational transformation. As an Executive-in-Residence at Cleveland State University, Peggy was hired by the President to expand the CSU Foundation; she strategically selected board members from Cleveland’s top corporations adding substantial recurring revenue. Peggy’s strong knowledge of business comes from her experiences in investment banking at Merrill Lynch, marketing at American Express and new product development at Nestle.
Peggy has served in the leadership of many non-profit boards focusing in the areas of governance, fundraising, strategic planning and human resources, most notably at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, Breakthrough Charter Schools’ Citizens Academy and The Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale.
She is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland and the Wexner Heritage Foundation leadership program.
