Cathy's coach approach is based on creating high quality connections and building positive, collaborative work cultures. She helps her clients understand how to balance their responsibilities with trusting relationships, motivating people to give their best effort.



Cathy Geib founded Authentic Focus Consulting LLC in 2009 to provide executive coaching and leadership development facilitation services to individuals, work groups, teams and organizations. She brings more than 26 years corporate experience at the senior management level of statewide law firms, with a special focus on managing Human Resources in fast-paced, complex and continuously changing environments.

Cathy's coach approach is based on creating high quality connections and building positive, collaborative work cultures. She helps her clients understand how to balance their responsibilities with trusting relationships, motivating people to give their best effort.

Cathy has coached clients across all life stages, and in a wide variety of organizations spanning: manufacturing, women in STEM, transportation, start-ups, professional services (including law, banking, accounting, engineering, healthcare associations), government agencies (including education, libraries and disability services), family businesses, as well as, non-profit boards, and community-based leadership programs.

Cathy holds an M.S. degree in Positive Organization Development and Change, as well as an Executive Coach Certification, from Case Western Reserve University, where she currently serves as an Executive Coach. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, and is a Board Certified Coach (BCC). Cathy received her initial deep dive coach training with the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland where she earned the Gestalt Professional Coach Certification (GPCC).

Cathy is certified to administer the Korn Ferry Emotional and Social Intelligence (ESCI) 360 Survey. As faculty and affiliate of the Institute for Experiential Learning, she also works extensively with the Kolb Experiential Learning Profile. Cathy is also a certified Building Personal Resilience coach through the HeartMath Institute, sharing science-based practices for navigating change from a place of empowerment and self-security.
