Peter Gabriel is an expert in professional coaching, leadership development, and emotional intelligence with Key Leadership LLC.  Peter coaches C-suite executives, emerging leaders, and managers to develop self-awareness, behaviors, and skills to be more effective as leaders.  Peter also coaches corporate executives for the Executive Leadership Academy - The Advanced Leadership Initiative through Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business.

Peter has extensive experience in the corporate environment.  Prior to professional coaching, Peter spent 19 years working with corporate clients at Vanguard, a global investment manager. Peter was responsible for 12 teams with 4-5 employees associated with each team.  His clients varied across diverse industries such as financial, manufacturing, legal, and entertainment and  a sampling of his clients includes:  WME (formerly IMG), Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, Cloplay (parent Griffon Corporation), and Aultman Health.

Examples of his corporate accomplishments:

  • Led and coached multiple cross-functional Vanguard teams in delivering world-class retirement programs to corporate clients.  Received high marks through client loyalty surveys (Net Promoter Score).
  • Set strategic direction aligned with client goals/objectives.  Through strategic consulting, anticipated and identified client needs.  Developed and communicated a vision of success for the Vanguard teams.  Yielded strong partnerships with clients.
  • Drove profitability of client relationships by influencing and persuading client decision makers to adopt Vanguard products and services.  Resulted in improved profitability of clients.
  • Attracted over $400 million in new business. Presented sales presentations to retirement plan committees comprised of CEOs, HR Directors, CFOs, and Legal Counsel. Outcome was business expansion.

Peter is the 2019-2021 President for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the International Coach Federation and completed his Doctor of Education in Leadership at Creighton University. His dissertation focused on gender, diversity, and leadership and was presented at the International Leadership Association Global Conference in West Palm Beach, FL in 2018. Peter leverages his research, professional experience, and education when coaching clients.
