(Currently not accepting new clients.) Denise is passionate about helping leaders enhance their ability and capacity to lead at the personal, team and organizational levels. She focuses on leveraging strengths and sustainable change that aligns leaders with the vision of their desired future.



Denise has more than 20 years of leadership experience in both private and public higher education institutions with a background in executive education, academic and student affairs. She is an innovator in higher education who enjoys designing programs, services and centers focused on talent development for staff, faculty, students and corporate partners.

Denise is currently the Dean of Social Sciences and Human Services at Lorain County Community College (OH).  Prior to this role she was the Associate Dean of Executive Education at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University (OH).  Denise also has a private coaching, leadership development and educational practice. She holds the ACC (Associate Certified Coach), International Coach Federation and the BCC (Board Certified Coach), Center for Credentialing and Education certifications.  Denise is certified to deliver and interpret the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI), as well as other leadership and career development assessments.

Denise has practiced as an executive coach for over 10 years and has experience helping individuals discover their personal and professional visions, realize their full potential and navigate career pathways. She has also coached for many custom corporate and leadership development programs through the Weatherhead School of Management with clients such as Fifth Third Bank, Dealer Tire, Progressive Insurance, Parker Hannifan, Steris and the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Denise has also coached physician leaders and other healthcare professionals through the Cleveland Clinic’s leadership development programs.

In 2012, Denise was selected to attend the ACE National Women’s Leadership Forum.  In 2009, Denise was awarded the President’s Distinguished Service Award (Case Western Reserve University). Other awards and recognition include the YWCA Woman of Professional Excellence (2007), Kaleidoscope Magazine’s 40-40 Club (2007) and selection to attend the prestigious HERS Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education (2005).

Denise holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in English Literature from George Mason University. She has a passion for speaking and teaching leadership development to various audiences.
