The Weatherhead Coaching Certificate guides participants through a sequence of learning experiences that contribute to personal leadership development, and it provides practical coaching skills for inspiring the leadership development of others. Emotional Intelligence (EI), a proven, comprehensive model of the competencies that form the essential core for great leadership, provides the basis for Weatherhead’s approach to leadership development.
The underlying principles and learning outcomes of the certificate are grounded in Intentional Change Theory. The work of faculty member Richard Boyatzis, Ph.D., the Intentional Change Process is substantiated by research to describe how adults change their behavior in desired, sustainable ways. Executives trained in the Weatherhead Coaching program learn how to leverage the intentional change process to authentically and effectively support others in achieving their leadership and performance aspirations.
