Lindsey Godwin


Dr. Lindsey Godwin is a globally recognized scholar-practitioner known for translating strengths-based leadership and Appreciative Inquiry into practical capabilities that drive organizational performance and engagement. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy, leadership development, and culture transformation, with a focus on helping leaders navigate complexity while strengthening human and organizational potential.

She has partnered with organizations across six continents, including the United Nations, the International Federation of the Red Cross & Red Crescent, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Hershey's, Ben & Jerry’s, and Dealer Tire, and others, designing and facilitating executive learning experiences for more than 10,000 leaders worldwide. Her work supports leaders in aligning strategy with purpose, leading change without burnout, and creating conditions where people and systems can perform at their best.

Dr. Godwin is the Robert P. Stiller Endowed Chair of Management and Academic Director of the David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry at Champlain College, where she has led the design of graduate and executive programs in leadership and organization development. Her scholarship appears in leading journals such as Journal of Business Ethics and The Journal of Applied Behavioral Science. She serves as Managing Editor of the Appreciative Inquiry Practitioner journal and is a co-author of "Earthshot OD", recognized as a field-shaping contribution to contemporary Organization Development.

Her contributions to leadership education and applied scholarship have earned national recognition, including Champlain College’s highest faculty honor and the Distinguished Alumni Award from her alma mater, Ohio Wesleyan University.

A committed voice for accessible, strengths-based leadership, Dr. Godwin is the co-author of Ditch the Ditty: Doing What Matters Instead of Doing It All (a #1 Amazon New Release), a regular contributor to Psychology Today, host of the global podcast Inspiring Impacts, and author of books that introduce inquiry-driven leadership to learners at every stage.

A PhD graduate of Weatherhead School of Management’s top-ranked Organizational Behavior program, Dr. Godwin trained with the founding architects of Appreciative Inquiry, Emotional Intelligence, and Experiential Learning. She continues to design executive learning experiences that help leaders clarify what matters, make better decisions under pressure, and lead change that is both human-centered and results-driven.
