Kay Peterson, MBA, MS-POD, GPCC, ACC

Kay Peterson is the founder of the Institute for Experiential Learning (IFEL), a global service committed to facilitating Experiential Learning with individuals, teams, and organizations through consulting, training, coaching, assessment, and research.

Kay applies Experiential Learning to develop leaders, drive team effectiveness, and promote learning organizations. She has consulted with professionals and organizations in health care, law, service, finance, manufacturing, management, engineering, IT, education, and nonprofit settings.

Kay earned a BS from Vanderbilt University, an MS-POD and a MBA from Case Western Reserve University. In addition, she holds an MN from Emory University. She is a Board Certified Coach, Associate Certified Coach, and Gestalt Professional Certified Coach. Kay is Master Coach at Weatherhead School of Management. She has earned a Certificate for Developing Leadership through Emotional Intelligence for Coaching and Sustainable Change and is certified in the Hay Group Emotional and Social Competency Inventory. Kay has completed post-graduate training at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in Gestalt Coaching, Gestalt Training and Somatic Studies. She is a Polarity Thinking Mastery Graduate and completed the Center for Leadership Maturity Coaching program. She co-authored with David A. Kolb the books How You Learn Is How You Live: Using Nine Ways of Learning to Transform Your Life and the companion Personal Development Guide. Her work in experiential learning has been published in HBR Guides to Coaching Your Employees, OD Practitioner, and the Journal of Experiential Learning.
