Susan Cucuzza is a Weatherhead Affiliate Instructor and the Founder of Live Forward, a leadership and professional development business. Susan has led HR programs in Fortune 500 companies for over 15 years, with special focus on leadership and talent development. In her coaching engagements, she shares her personal experiences working with leaders at all levels. She has coached dozens of executives on leadership style, feedback on 360-degree assessments, succession, performance management and career plans, executive presence, emotional and social intelligence, and work / life balance. She applies her passion and philosophy of authentic and holistic leadership.
Susan most recently served on the HR executive team at Textron Inc. She was responsible for succession planning, leadership and organizational development, recruiting, rewards, and employee relations for key corporate functions that included international HR responsibilities. She has coached dozens of key executives in their transition into their roles through New Leader Assimilation, Myers-Briggs, 360-degree feedback, and career development both nationally and internationally. In 2008 Susan was responsible for turning over almost 100% of a leadership team, including securing the President-China for Textron. She has also been instrumental in moving high-potential talent across Textron’s businesses. Susan also designed and led several leadership rotational programs, which achieved global recognition with a Chairman’s Award for Innovation at Textron. She also led the design of an enterprise-wide career development program for Black Belts, which was recently recognized in the March/April 2010 issue of iSixSigma Magazine.
Previous to Textron, Susan managed workforce development at ArvinMeritor, a Tier One automotive supplier. This included programs for new supervisors and managers in plant and non-plant locations, leadership assessments, employee involvement, and team building activities. She also had global leadership roles in HR continuous improvement, compensation and performance management, and was the first corporate employee to be certified in HR continuous improvement / lean.
Susan’s consulting experience has included managing the entire client experience for compensation projects at Deloitte & Touche. Previous to that she was an HR Officer at National City Corporation, where she focused in recruiting and compensation.
