The Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, will offer an innovative entrepreneur program beginning this fall, Leading the Growth Enterprise: An Executive Experience for Entrepreneurs.
Crossing the threshold from creating a small and steady business to leading a growth enterprise takes more than a good idea and a business plan. To make that leap, entrepreneurs must increase their financial competence, advance their business strategy and develop their leadership capability. With its world-renowned business management curriculum and faculty, Weatherhead will provide a framework to help growth companies achieve their objectives.
“Northeast Ohio has a large number of entrepreneurs on the verge of major breakthroughs. This program will prepare them for the challenges of that next step. It will also give them a credential to share with their future investors,” said Betty Vandenbosch, Associate Dean of Weatherhead Executive Education.
Leading the Growth Enterprise is specifically designed for owners, owner-managers and designated successors of established, growth-oriented companies. This ten-day program provides entrepreneurs with practical, effective approaches to handling the key challenges of creating a great growth business, and leadership capability to sustain performance. With a curriculum stressing practical strategies and applications, participants will also engage in an ongoing project of their choosing that relates to their business. The course will convene for ten days from October to April, each session focusing on key issues such as setting strategies for growth and stability, developing executive leadership skills, and real-time application focused on personal business challenges.
"This program is a perfect fit for the entrepreneur who has transformed his/her business idea into a successful business but is now looking to add the dimensions of growth and sustainability to that model,” says Ron Fountain, Executive Director for the program.
The deadline for submitting an application to this program is September 30, 2006. To apply to the program, please visit: http://weatherhead.case.edu/exed/ent/, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call: 216/368-6413.
