Attention Women in Healthcare: Managers and Professionals!
Announcing a new one-day interactive, in-depth program

Healthcare is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today. Women represent the majority group in the provider sector of healthcare, comprising 76.6% of those employed in hospitals and 78.6% of those employed in health service areas outside of the hospital venue.*

Additionally, though not in such high numbers, women are in the bioscience sector as scientists, saleswomen, managers and business owners, developing and disseminating devices, supplies and pharmaceuticals.

A critical topic to address, given women’s predominance in healthcare, is whether women are exercising their considerable leadership potential. This program will investigate this topic and provide opportunities for understanding and maximizing women’s individual and collective leadership.

Rather than the typical “listen to the experts” sessions, this program will provide opportunities for interaction with the faculty and with the other participants in the context of this important topic. The program will have a limited number of participants so that interactive communication will be maximized. The faculty presenter is in the forefront of research and education in the area of women and leadership.

Program time: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Explore models of leadership for the woman healthcare professional
• Analyze the impact of life stages on the leadership role in a woman’s career
• Apply patterns of success for high achieving women to personal career
• Discuss ways to develop the next generation of women leaders in healthcare
