April 21: EMBAs Host Charity Ball
Posted 3.15.06To build awareness about the important mission of the Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit and raise funds for the upcoming B•A•W•B Global Forum, a group of Weatherhead Executive MBA Class of 2006 members will be hosting The Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit Charity Ball.
The Business as an Agent of World Benefit Charity Ball, hosted by a group of 2006 Weatherhead Executive MBA participants who have formed Triple Play Enterprises, will take place on Friday, April 21st at 6:00 pm at Windows on the River and it's an event not to miss.
The event will feature a South African theme including a cocktail hour with a selection of light hors d'oeuvres, dinner, a short presentation of the B·A·W·B mission, a silent auction, and the evening will conclude with dancing and a live band playing an ecletic mix of music ranging from folk, acoustic, classic rock, and many other popular hits and genres.
Enjoy a fine dining experience that starts with a mixed greens salad with fresh strawberries, mandarin oranges, and caramelized walnuts accompanied by an exquisite selection of South African wines to accompany your entree choice of herb crusted prime rib of beef, sautéed chicken with shitaki mushrooms topped with shrimp, or pasta rotello including a tri-colored pasta rolled with fresh spinach and ricotta cheese, concluding dinner will be a delicious dessert of crême brulee cheesecake with freshly brewed coffee and specialty teas.
Following dinner we will announce the winners of the Silent Auction which will include South African artwork, South African wines, local sporting events tickets, local spa packages, and many more items that you will be able to bid on. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the local Cleveland charity, Medwish, which provides unused medical supplies to developing countries and a South African Charity, The Mothers Programme, which helps prevent the spread of the HIV Virus to unborn children, from their mothers.
This is an exciting opportunity to give back to deserving charities, learn more about the important mission of the B·A·W·B, and enjoy great South African wines and dinner with the company of your fellow Case colleagues and some of the area's most influential business and community leaders.
