Getting an MBA can be an adventure in itself, and there’s no more adventurous program than Weatherhead’s new Global MBA.
In fall 2013, the very first Global MBA class will gather in Cleveland for orientation before jetting off to Shanghai, where they’ll spend a semester at our partner school, Tongji University. There, they’ll also meet the rest of their cohort: students from Tongji and from our other partner school, Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) in Jamshedpur, India. The following semester, all are headed to XLRI for the second leg of their journey. A year from now, the cohort will start their third semester right here at Weatherhead. For their final semester, the students will disperse to their school of origin--Tongji, XLRI, or Weatherhead.
Through total immersion in different countries and cultures as well as team-based project work on multilingual, multicultural teams, Global MBA students will learn far more than can be conveyed in their transcripts. Robust though the program’s curriculum is, we’re even more excited to watch our students absorb profound experiential learnings from their surroundings and one another.
