Hello Weatherhead Friends,

Welcome back to Weatherhead everyone! I hope that your break was relaxing, fun, renewing, and not too cold. Now that our break is concluded and we’ve gotten back to business, we’ve suddenly become really busy.

This semester has many great events coming up. Some of them you may remember from previous Weatherheadlines articles, like Casino Night, Faculty Auction, and Annual Report. Casino Night, with the theme of Crazy 8’s this year, will be held in the Peter B. Lewis building on the night of the 16th of February. The Global Food Festival will be held on the 2nd of February for all of you cookers and more so for the eaters. Also in this semester events like Faculty Auction, Annual Report, and a group outing to see a Cavaliers game will occur too!

There’s a lot happening as far as big events as we can all see, but there are always smaller, yet still important and rewarding events to attend from the clubs and other avenues. Check out the Weatherhead Calendar and Post It for event details and to ask any questions you may have. Emails and other communications will also help provide more information on upcoming events like the Cavs game and more, so stay tuned.

This semester is just starting and so much is on the way already. It’s going to be an exciting and intensive semester for everyone. GBSA is here to help our students and we have a new office to help that very purpose! Room 110-A outside of the External Relations offices is the new GBSA office. We will be assembling regular office hours to help make GBSA more visible and available. As always, if you have any immediate questions, feedback, ideas, suggestions or a good joke please do not hesitate to contact me at my email address (

Warm regards,

Whit Tice
MBA and MPOD candidate 2009
President, Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA)
