GBSA president's message
Posted 11.6.07GBSA president Whit Tice talks about what has been happening in Weatherhead and some of what's to come!
We got through our midterms! It seems strange that we’ve already gone through more than half the semester already.
I’m pleased to announce that we have new officers in GBSA! Our fall elections took place at the end of September and the start of October. Here they are:
- 1st Year Academic and Student Affairs chair: Barbara Lund
- 1st Year Communication chair: Harshil Mehta
- 1st Year Social and Cultural Affairs chair: Sarah Abbott
- 1st Year Student Organizations chair: Jatin Desai
- Evening Academic and Student Affairs chair: Andrew Park
Our new officers are already having a big impact on what has been happening with GBSA and Weatherhead as a whole. We look forward to seeing the same energy continue throughout the year.
At the end of October we had Weatherheadless. As expected, it was a spooky, scary, fun, and exciting event. The event took in and later delivered cans for the food bank. VP of Social and Cultural Activities Jesse Corn, 1st Year Social and Cultural Activities chair Sarah Abbot, 2nd year MBA Nithin Kalvakota and the Weatherheadless committee put a lot of effort to make it happen. Thanks for all of the help and thanks everyone for sharing the experience!
I’m pleased to say that Weatherhead’s Post-It site has gotten even better. If you check the page here you’ll find that it’s in a much nicer layout and that our colleagues in Student Services have gotten more involved.
The Break From Business As Usual event series, which caters to everyone at Weatherhead (Faculty, Staff, Administration, Students), continues this month. Look for a finalized day and location near the end of November. I hope to see everyone there!
As always, if there are ideas on events, program suggestions, or if you would like to just chat, feel free to contact me at my email@example.com email address.
Thanks and enjoy November!
