Executive MBAs began their fall semester with an energizing August residency, an alumni clambake and the awarding of the inaugural EMBA Class of 2006 Leadership Award.
Amidst heavy rain and humid weather, the Executive MBA program began an exciting fall semester. The August residency at the Bertram Inn in beautiful Aurora, Ohio, was truly an energizing event as we welcomed back the class of 2008 and initiated the class of 2009.
With four days of intensive focus study, the August residency provides for approximately 30 percent of the semester’s classroom instruction time. There was time for pleasure as well, in between all the studying. We hosted an alumni clambake dinner to welcome our new and returning students where JR Bockovan, EMBA '06, congratulated Dan Quigg, EMBA '07, for having been awarded the inaugural EMBA Class of 2006 Leadership Award. The EMBA class of 2006 initiated this award to recognize a member of each graduating EMBA class, who demonstrates personal leadership, service and generosity.
The residency ended with the class of 2008 creating a mentor group, presenting the class of 2009 with an opportunity to reach out for guidance and support. The leadership and character of the class of 2008 sets a profound precedent and a truly appreciated opportunity for the first-year students.
Join the school in welcoming the class of 2009 and the class of 2008 as they embark on a challenging and exhilarating fall semester.
