Over the past year, the Weatherhead School partnered with the Heights-Hillcrest Regional Chamber of Commerce to bring programming to the eastern suburbs.
Since meeting up at last May's Heights-Hillcrest Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, Evening and Saturday MBA Program Director Kevin Malecek and Heights-Hillcrest Regional of Chamber of Commerce Director Angie Pohlman embarked on several mutually beneficial events involving the Chamber and the Weatherhead School.
The school sponsors the monthly Business Breakfast series for the Heights Regional Chamber -- an organization consisting of businesses from Cleveland Heights, Lyndhurst, Richmond Heights, Shaker Heights, South Euclid and University Heights. In that capacity, professors like J.B. Silvers have joined business professionals from the eastern suburbs to share their knowledge about specific areas of business education. In turn, current Weatherhead MBA students are invited to attend the breakfasts, free of charge, to network and explore the growing eastside business community.
In addition to the breakfast series, the Weatherhead School recently hosted a gathering of the Heights Regional Chamber's Young Professionals group, which brought several entrepreneurs to give a panel presentation on their businesses.
Due to the success of the breakfast series, the Weatherhead School is currently in discussions about taking this partnership into the future, as we continue to find opportunities to partner with our local Cleveland business community.
