Ellen Garbarino, quoted on WEWS (Channel 5, Cleveland, Ohio), April 30, regarding grocery store pricing. and she discusses the evolution of television moms from the days of black and white to color screens in the Ledger, May 11.
Renowned architect Frank Gehry and businessman-philanthropist Peter Lewis shared insights about innovation, including the Gehry-designed Peter B. Lewis Building, as noted in the Plain Dealer, April 27.
David Pearson has been selected as a recipient of the 2007 Carl F. Wittke Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. This is recognized as the most prestigious university-wide award for excellence in undergraduate teaching, and is presented at Commencement as part of the diploma ceremony.
Richard Boyatzis (and Richard Hanson, Leonard and Jean Skeggs Professor of Biochemistry) will receive the Diekhoff Award during Commencement on May 20. Experience is the best teacher. The faculty members who received the 2007 John S. Diekhoff Award for graduate teaching at Case Western Reserve University are indicative of the adage, as they have been recognized many times for their effectiveness in the classroom and their ability to connect with and engage students. A committee of graduate and professional program students selected these faculty members based on nominations from students enrolled in the university's graduate-level disciplines.
