Q&A with Ekta Khurana (MGT '22)
Ekta Khurana
Year Graduated: May 2022
Degree: Master of Business Administration

What are you up to?

I joined The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as the global IT intern for branding and  marketing initiatives. In this role, I will be working closely with the Global IT team at Goodyear on various projects and initiatives.

How did you find this job?

The Career Management Office always encourages students to network extensively with the industries or organizations that they would like to work for. Apart from organizing a lot of events, the Career Management Office grooms the candidates for job interviews and how to land an opportunity in their area of interest.

I made the most of my opportunity as president of the Graduate Business Student Association during my time at Weatherhead and networked extensively. That is how I landed this wonderful opportunity with Goodyear. I am excited to see what the future holds.

What is something you learned during your time at Weatherhead that you’ve been able to use in your current role?

In terms of academics, my favorite subject was “brand management.” I intend to follow as well as practice, most of the strategies if not all, that I learned during the classroom sessions, to my work. However, personally, I would like to stay curious always as that helps you to learn more about everything and that's how I explored Weatherhead during my MBA program.

What advice would you offer to any current MBA students at Weatherhead?

Immerse yourself into everything, be that academics or social networking opportunities, and find yourself the new “YOU.” Only then, you would have made the most of your learning experience at Weatherhead. Let curiosity drive your imagination.

What do you love most about Weatherhead?

I love the PBL corridor. It provides so many opportunities to students to engage into discussions with their colleagues and faculty over a cup of coffee and there is always so much excitement around that area that makes way for everything creative.
