Bloomberg Businessweek released its 2018 Best Business Schools rankings based on data obtained from student, alumni and recruiter surveys. Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University’s MBA program ranked 58th, up from 72nd last year.
Businessweek created four indexes that made up the 2018 rankings: compensation, learning, networking and entrepreneurship.
In order to modernize the rankings, Businessweek’s new approach surveyed students, alumni and recruiters to learn what aspects were most important to them. Weightings were determined by these answers, and then combined with job-placement and compensation data to calculate overall rankings.
In 2017 when the survey was conducted, nearly 70 percent Weatherhead full-time MBA students were already employed by graduation, with 90% employed within three months, often times by Fortune 500 companies.
