We are thrilled to announce that two of the Fowler Center’s Ivey Publishing co-branded teaching cases have been entered into the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) 2017 Case Competition. Amorim: The Future of Natural Cork, written by Fowler Family Fellow Tim Krueger, MBA ’16, has been submitted in the Euro-Mediterranean Managerial Practices and Issues category. Calvert Investments: Environmental, Social, and Governance Sustainability; written by Chantal Van Esch, PhD ’17; Fowler Family Fellow Ben Cooper, MBA ’15; and Jingya Zou, MBA ’15; has been submitted in the Sustainable Business Model category. Congratulations to our authors! It is a sign of the quality of these cases that they were selected for submission.

For more than 30 years, EFMD has organized an annual case writing competition with the intent to “encourage and support the writing of new and innovative case material.” Submission categories focus on specific issues or regions of the world.

EFMD is an international, not-for-profit, membership organization of business schools and corporations that provides unique opportunities for research and networking. Find out more about EFMD by visiting https://www.efmd.org/what-is-efmd.

Previously, the teaching case “TriCiclos: The Challenge of Scaling Recycling in Latin America” written by Ignacio Pavez, PhD ’16, and BAWB Scholar Maria Bello, MBA ’15, was submitted to the EFMD 2016 Case Competition.
