Silvers accepted the award during a ceremony on December 7, praising the MetroHealth System in his remarks as a “peerless public hospital” that serves “all citizens of the country, rich and poor.” In closing, Silvers expressed his gratitude to receive such an honor. “I am pleased to receive this recognition, not for me, but for the people of this institution that continue to do so much for all of us.”
Crain’s and partnering sponsors, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Benesch, KPMG and MCPc, hold the C-Suite awards every year to honor “Northeast Ohio's top C-Suite executives for their contributions, community commitments and outstanding professional performances.”
