Weatherhead’s Michael Goldberg, assistant professor of Design & Innovation and Marne Levine, chief operating officer of Instagram, discussed entrepreneurship live from the Facebook headquarters in California.
Case Western Reserve's Facebook page went live this November to stream a conversation with Weatherhead School of Management’s Michael Goldberg, assistant professor in the Department of Design & Innovation and Marne Levine, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Instagram from the Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
The setting proved to be a fitting backdrop for the conversation, which focused on social media platforms, entrepreneurship and Silicon Valley. Goldberg, who designed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) called “Beyond Silicon Valley,” discussed how to create new centers for innovation in cities other than the technology hub in California. Levine, as one of the top leaders of Instagram, added insight on how social media platforms can help break down barriers for entrepreneurs wanting to grow their business.
