Cleveland Clinic appoints Linda McHugh as new chief human resource officer.
Linda McHugh, MBA '91, was recently appointed chief human resource officer at the Cleveland Clinic.
McHugh began at the Clinic 35 years ago as a medical technologist in microbiology. She was named acting chief human resource officer Feb. 1 after Joe Cabral left the position to return home to Boston, where he accepted the position of chief human resources officer for Partners Healthcare.
“Having begun her career at Cleveland Clinic as a medical technologist in microbiology, Linda has walked in the shoes of our frontline caregivers,” Dr. Toby Cosgrove, Cleveland Clinic president and CEO, said in a statement. “Since then, Linda has held administrative positions of increasing responsibility. She brings thoughtful leadership, a passion for professional development, and broad-based knowledge of management, finances and administration to this very important position.”
