Michael Goldberg, assistant professor of design and innovation, announced last week his candidacy for president following the reminder of his past victory over Ted Cruz. In a race for freshman class president at Princeton University in 1988, Goldberg beat Cruz's campaign and 10 other candidates on the initial ballot.

"If I could do it then, I'm sure I can do it again," Goldberg said.
