Margaret Calkins, PhD, EDAC, heads the Health Care Design program at Kent State

Margaret Calkins, PhD, EDAC, will head the Health Care Design programs at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Kent State University where she will offer both a certificate program and a Master in Health Care Design.  

Maggie completed the Professional Fellows Program at Weatherhead in 1998.  Prior to starting at Kent State, she ran her own successful research and consulting firms focusing on environments for elders, especially for individuals living with dementia and other brain and communication disorders.  She also has a BA in psychology from Kenyon College and a Masters and PhD from the School of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
