Weatherhead alumni are making strides in start-up technology
Quick2LAUNCH, a company started by two Weatherhead School of Management graduates, is picking up speed in the world of start-up technology. Co-founded by Philip Alexander, MBA '12, and Mohit Ahluwalia, MBA '11, Quick2LAUNCH is a company that helps businesses and entrepreneurs digitize their content in an aesthetic and professional format. The stated goal of the company is “offering entrepreneurs and corporations the path of least resistance when preparing a pitch or new concept.” LaunchHouse, a business accelerator located in Shaker Heights, recently awarded Quick2LAUNCH a $25,000 investment and a place in their LanuchHouse Accelerator, along with nine other companies. The goal of the Accelerator is to rapidly grow the businesses accepted into their program, ultimately leading them to enter the market after 12 weeks. Quick2LAUNCH began the program on September 4; the company will receive hands-on training to develop a successful business model, culminating on November 28, where they will present their model to investors. The training is broken up into four sections, brainstorming, demonstrating, market entry, and sustainability. Each section includes one-on-one time with a mentor, opportunities to network, and training on topics such as accounting and market research. The ingenuity Quick2LAUNCH has been recognized for can be seen in their Pitch Your Business Contest, in which entrepreneurs submit their pitches to Quick2LAUNCH’s facebook page.
