Annual AIS Award for Innovation in Information Systems Education to Weatherhead Assistant Professor

The Association for Information Systems (AIS) has awarded Weatherhead Assistant Professor Michel Avital the distinction of Excellence in the 2004 AIS Award for Excellence in Innovation in Information Systems Education. The award was presented at the recently held International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) in Washington DC.

The Association for Information Systems is the premier global organization for academics specializing in Information Systems. As part of its mission, the association seeks to contribute to Information Systems curriculum innovation by recognizing and disseminating innovative course materials.

The award was granted for the development of courseware that integrates appreciative inquiry into our systems analysis and design curriculum. The courseware is currently offered as part of "Systems Analysis and Design" and "Designing of Successful Systems."
