Multinational corporations are the driving force in economic globalization. Asim Erdilek’s studies reveal the impact of foreign direct investment by these corporations. One line of research has studied outward investment from Turkey, examining drivers, strategies, trends, and impact, with special emphasis on the differences between large, mid-size and small enterprises. Asim has also researched inward foreign direct investment in Ohio and the 50 states, examining how it changes a region’s economic and social character and government policies.
