Dasol Kim, PhD, received his doctoral degree from Yale University, School of Management and was initially appointed at Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management in 2011. He earned his master’s degree from Columbia University.
Kim’s published work has appeared in REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STUDIES. He has several working papers on topics including depositor runs and financial literacy, small bank comparative advantages in alleviating financial constraints, and others. His teaching interests include fixed income analysis, financial management, corporate finance and financial modeling.
Professionally, in 2015 Kim delivered several conference presentations around the world including the Financial Intermediation Research Society Conference, Reykjavik; United States Securities and Exchange Commission; China International Conference in Finance, Shenzhen; Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; European Finance Association, Vienna; FDIC’s Center for Financial Research and the JOURNAL OF FINANCIAL SERVICES RESEARCH Banking Research Conference, Washington, DC; Community Banking Research Conference, St. Louis; and the European Banking Center Conference, Tilburg, Netherlands.
