Self Awareness for Women in Leadership | Weatherhead School at Case Western Reserve University

Self-Awareness for Women in Leadership

Emotional self awareness is a critical leadership competency, essential to self-confidence and self-efficacy, and vital to developing your unique leadership presence. At its core, it is the ability to understand your emotions and their effects, how you recognize and react to cues in your environment, and the ability to effectively communicate your thoughts and feelings to others.

Self awareness is important for mastering the ever-changing work environment at any level, no matter where you work. For women, it is especially critical, as women often face more challenging organizational contexts that they must learn to navigate in order to succeed. This workshop focuses specifically on women in the workplace, leveraging assessments, experiential activities, and small group work to help participants ground themselves in who they are and what they value, in order to better lead themselves and their organizations.
