Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
(5-day program; participants conduct project work and receive up to 2.5 hours of individualized project coaching between the two sessions. The program includes a 2 hour final report out and certification ceremony.)
Organizations (non-profit and for-profit alike) face the ever increasing challenge to be more effective and efficient. This often means doing more with fewer resources, or freeing up resources in order to expand and grow in new ways. This kind of growth and improvement requires individuals who are able to think and operate in terms of both strategy and process. The gold standard for process thinking and operational improvement has become Lean and Six Sigma. These methodologies position individuals to be more efficient and effective by reducing waste, errors, and re-work—as well as freeing up critical resources that can then be leveraged elsewhere. Individuals with Lean and Six Sigma Certifications are highly valued in their organizations for their important contributions to these initiatives.
Weatherhead’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification training provides participants with enhanced problem-solving skills. We emphasize the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) process, along with critical tools such as regression analysis, chi-squared analysis, 5S, value stream mapping and others. Our Six Sigma Green Belt certification helps the employee serve as a trained operational excellence team member within his or her function-specific area of the organization.
Working through a Six Sigma project simulation, participants will fully engage with these tools, learning when and how to apply them for optimal results. During the project they will receive two hours of coaching in support of their project work to ensure they are able to successfully apply the learning. Finally, the Certification itself provides a valuable credential that demonstrates the participant’s new knowledge and ability to apply these tools in practice.
Green Belts can do much of the “on-the-ground” data gathering and analysis for a Lean Six Sigma project. They do not have to be quality practitioners, but are indispensable in support of operational excellence. Whether in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, government, or any other type of service or product based industry Green Belt Training is ideal for anyone looking to contribute to the overall success and growth of their organization.

The nature of this program requires a low participant to instructor ratio for maximum effectiveness. As such, seats are limited.
Program Requirements
Participants should come to the program with a process improvement idea/project in mind. Participants should also bring a laptop to this program to complete different program exercises. Individuals without a laptop should contact us by phone (216.368.6413 or 800.736.6403) so arrangements can be made.
