Darren Good, PhD

Darren Good is a Weatherhead Affiliate Instructor and is engaged in both academic and business pursuits that focus on the development of human and organizational potential. He is an Assistant Professor of Applied Behavioral Science in the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California, teaching MBA courses in organizational behavior and leadership development.

Good has published articles on various aspects of leader development and flexibility, emotional intelligence, feedback delivery and executive coaching. His research focuses on leadership and managerial cognition with a particular focus in real-time adaptability and flexibility. Other active research pursuits include how to better support both early career faculty and the intellectually disabled in the workplace.

Prior to pursuing an academic career, Good was a manager with Unicast Communications, a division of Bcom3, and held several positions as an account executive for ad agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and True North Communications. He has both managed and secured new business from a portfolio of client accounts including Hewlett Packard, Proctor & Gamble, Campbell’s Soup, Marketwatch, New York Times, and Viacom.

Good holds a Doctorate in Organizational Behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, a Masters of Psychology from Pepperdine University and Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
