This one-day session focuses on effective strategies to combat compassion fatigue prevalent in the helping fields such as youth work. Self-care denotes an intentional approach to addressing the emotional impact of secondary trauma and stress of those in the youth serving field. This session will explore research based practices and strategies to address compassion fatigue.
This workshop aligns with core knowledge and competencies for youth work professionals that have been developed by the National Afterschool Association (NAA) and the Ohio Afterschool Network (OAN).
