Halloween Volunteer Event!

October 27th is

Give back to the community, meet new people, and have fun by participating in this WSOM volunteer event! The annual Enchanted Forest at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes is a non-scary alternative to Halloween. Families will enjoy guided tours along the pumpkin lined Stearns trail. Volunteers are needed prior to the event to carve a total of 250 pumpkins onsite or offsite. Volunteers can also help with set-up of pumpkins, luminaries, craft tables and games. If possible, please bring pumpkins with you as a donation to the center. Lunch provided by the GBSA. MapQuest is not very specific and finding the center is a little tricky – South Park begins at the intersection of North Park and North Woodland. The center is right at this 3-way intersection.
