Strategy and Competitive Advantage in a Global Economy

Globalization presents businesses with an ever-increasing level of opportunity, complexity and uncertainty. This seminar will help you understand the basics of competitive strategy and how to apply these principles to the emerging global economy. Through lecture, discussion and case analysis, managers will consider responses to critical challenges such as: What are the special challenges and opportunities of global outsourcing, production, product development, and marketing? How can a firm position itself to profitably capture markets in developing economies? What challenges do the new multinationals from China and India such as Lenovo, Huawei and Wipro pose for today’s U.S. multinationals? As never before, the global economy is being thrust upon businesses of all sizes, and in almost every industry. This program will equip managers and strategic leaders with insight to better anticipate and respond to the new opportunities and threats.
