Whether you are a doctor, nurse, health care administrator, or consultant to the health care industry, looking at the market through the lens of cohorts is a different perspective. Historically in marketing we defined patients or customers from a generational perspective such as the year in which they were born. The emerging view in marketing, however, is far more complex and insightful. We now are profiling people based on the cohort to which they belong.
