Starting and Managing a Successful Startup:https://weatherhead.case.edu/events/detail?eid=513Bill Coleman was VP of SystemSoftware at Sun Microsystems. His team transformed SunOS into the commercially successful Solaris operating system and founded Sun's Professional Services Division. He then founded and was the first Chairman and CEO of BEA Systems. Under his leadership, BEA became the fastest software firm ever to exceed $1 billion in annual revenue. He then retired.
Retirement wasn't what he thought it would be. So . . .he founded a new software company and called it Cassatt Corporation. Bill sees Cassatt sitting squarely at the intersection of two big info-tech software trends--so-called Web services and utility computing. With more than $50 million in venture funding and 115 employees, he's aiming to recreate the magic of his early days at BEA.
FIND OUT ABOUT BILL'S EXPERIENCE IN STARTUPS (VISICORP, BEA and CASSATT) AND STARTING COMPANIES AS A FOUNDER. YOU WILL HEAR THE LESSONS HE'S LEARNED--THE ONES YOU CAN'T LEARN FROM AN MBA.
