Change Leadershiphttps://weatherhead.case.edu/events/detail?eid=346Today's business environment is replete with change. Expect it to occur more often, happen more quickly, and be more diverse than in years past. Whether the change involves organizational restructuring, merging operations, expanding into new markets, or adopting new technology, today's managers must juggle multiple changes with little to no recovery in between. This rapid pace can cause management initiatives to fail, not because of a flaw in the initiative, but rather, because of breakdowns in the change management process. These failures erode managerial credibility and employee goodwill, making subsequent changes even more difficult. Through lecture, small group discussions, and individual exercises, participants will gain strategies to deal more effectively with the human issues that often bog down change projects and overwhelm managers. The course will offer a process framework for planning and troubleshooting change initiatives managers can use to analyze a change occurring in their own organizations.
