Family Business Speaker Series with
Dr. Donald Jonovic, Family Business Management Services
Family Businesses have been a foundation of human economies for thousands of years, but it wasn’t until the last quarter of the 20th Century that professionals, academics and families began treating the family company as the essential yet complex and pressured entity that it is. Leon A. Danco published the first book on the subject, “Beyond Survival,” in 1975, and it was like turning on the lights in a dark room. The subsequent 35 years saw explosive growth in research and analysis of this core of our economy. So much was learned, through theory and research, and through experience. So much, too, has changed in society, markets, and families.
Don Jonovic, who began his involvement with family businesses in 1975, will present his distillation of the lessons of more than three decades working with business owners, their families, their managers, employees, boards and advisors, including his current service on 15 boards of Family companies.
Join us for networking and light refreshments prior to the event beginning at 6:00pm. Presentation will take place from 6:30pm-8:00pm
