Majdi Abulaban is senior vice president of Delphi and president of Delphi Electrical/Electronic Architecture (E/EA), a position he has held since February 2012.
Based in Shanghai, Mr. Abulaban is also Delphi’s Asia Pacific president, with oversight of operations that include Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Australia.
He began his Delphi career in 1985 as a manufacturing engineer at Delphi's Warren, Ohio, operations. Since then, he has held several assignments within the company, including finance manager, Delphi E/EA China and director, Asia Pacific Operations for the Thermal Systems division. In July 2002, Mr. Abulaban was named managing director, Asia Pacific, E/EA and served as president, Delphi Connection Systems.
Mr. Abulaban earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is vice chairman of the Shanghai Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (SAEFI) and a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of Case Western Reserve University's Institute for Management and Engineering.
Mr. Abulaban received the CNBC China Business Leader Award in 2005. He also received the Shanghai Honorary Citizen Award in 2015 from the Mayor of Shanghai, the city’s highest honor.
