Thought Leaders Series: Leading in a Time of Crisishttps://weatherhead.case.edu/events/2021/01/19/leading-in-a-time-of-crisisInstead of infecting people with COVID or negativity or fear, why not inspire people to adapt, be open to new ideas and inspired about their possible futures? We will discuss how most people in leadership positions diminish the people around them by their focus on financials, goals and metrics, spreading their fears for the company, country or world. Most people in leadership become bullies and think they are motivating people when, in fact, they are doing the opposite (which is why engagement numbers are so low). Professor Boyatzis will explain how resonant leadership relationships inspire hope through vision, caring through compassion, and authenticity through mindfulness. He will use results from his 39 longitudinal, behavioral studies showing change, 3 fMRI studies and 2 hormonal studies. Don’t face the future with fear! Liberate yourself and those around you from the ravages of rampant narcissism and self-righteous thinking. Stop focusing on hating and start focusing on the dream of possibilities.
