Operations Club: Invacare Plant Visit

Greetings all Club members!
 
Operations club brings you an opportunity to visit a plant and few more perks. Visit a plant, apply for position and food, sounds interesting eh?
 
Allow Operations Club the pleasure of inviting you to come and tour Invacare Homecare plant on Thursday, April 12th. We're certain you will be interested in seeing their manufacturing and distribution process of their medical, patient care, and healthcare products that promote recovery and active lifestyle.

What's more? Invacare provides us with an opportunity for applying for the full-time supply chain and a few other positions that are open at their company, so don't forget to bring your updated resumes! Food will be served.
 
Tour itinerary:
09.30 AM- - Gather at Peter B. Lewis and board the bus
09.40 AM -  Bus departs from Peter B. Lewis building
10.45 AM -  Enter the plant and brief introductions
11.00 AM - Touring the plant
01.15 PM - Depart from the plant
02.30 PM - Arrive at Peter B. Lewis building
 
Safety regulations:

Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Bus strictly departs at 9:40 AM.

NO cameras or cell phones allowed in the manufacturing facility. Please do not bring your cell phone into the plant. Due to confidentiality, students with cell phones won't be allowed to access.

A valid photo ID will be required for all the students.

Bags (purses, backpacks, briefcases, etc.) are not permitted in the plant tour.

Clothing Requirements:

Since this is a tour through an operational manufacturing facility, this safety dress code must be followed without exception:

Long pants must be worn (no skirts, no shorts)

Shirts must have sleeves (short sleeves acceptable; no sleeveless or cap sleeves)

Shoes must be closed toe / no heel and flat (no sandals, no heels, no "Crocs"-type shoes)

Safety glasses will be provided and must be worn at all times during the tour. If you have your own safety glasses, you could bring it.

 

There are only 50 spots available on a first come first serve basis, please RSVP only if you are able to attend.
