MOD/MPOD Alumni Webcast

Complexity Theory Meets OD: Radical Ideas for Leading Change in Today’s Organizations

In this 45-minute webcast - 30 minute briefing and 15 minutes for Q&A - Professor Ronald Fry will present about how the emergence of Dialogic OD has created a space for the ideas of social constructionism, complexity theory, and appreciative inquiry to blend and incubate. This webinar explores and summarizes some of the basic ideas emerging from this new intersection and their implications for those wishing to lead or facilitate positive change and development in human systems. The works of Ralph Stacy, Adrian Mclean, Patricia Shaw, Bill Critchley and others associated with the construct of Complex Responsive Processes will be discussed and linked to the social constructionist principles of Appreciative Inquiry. The resulting implications for leading change may cause the most common, comfortable, and familiar notions of management and OD practice to be turned upside down!.
