Undergraduate Coffee Connection Registration Deadline

Coffee Connections: Networking with Alumni

[Weatherhead Connect Opportunity]

Coffee Connections is an opportunity for a Weatherhead undergraduate student to connect with a Weatherhead graduate over a cup of coffee or online. This opportunity allows alumni to share their experiences and career insights with students and gives students the opportunity to share their CWRU and WSOM experience with alumni. There have been great success stories of students gaining knowledge about industry trends and learning networking tips, and alumni feeling more involved with the school.

Program Details:  a 30-45 minute meeting with a Weatherhead graduate. This meeting can be in person or virtually depending on the location of the WSOM graduate. In ideal cases, students and alumni will stay in touch throughout the semester and begin to build an ongoing relationship.

How to join:  complete your Coffee Connections registration today, and we will match you with a WSOM graduate. Please understand that we may not be able to make exact interest or preference matches in all cases, but we know that any connection between students and alumni can be beneficial as stories and experiences are shared. Also, please note that depending on the number of students interested in participating in the program, there may be a waitlist. Match preference will be given to sophomores or juniors, but First-Year students and seniors are welcome to apply. We will match the best we can. Complete details and timeline are listed below:

1.      By September 15th: complete this registration form. The registration form allows you to upload your resume. If you do not upload your resume, you must send an updated resume to mxm941@case.edu. We will be sending resumes to the alumni matches. Visit the University Career Center to ensure your resume is professional and highlighting your best qualities and experiences.

2.      Attend a Coffee Connections workshop to review expectations and next steps. Students must attend one of the workshops in order to participate in the program. These workshops will be roughly 15 minutes. The workshops will be offered on the following dates:

a.      Tuesday, September 19th at  5:30pm (Location TBD)

b.      Friday, September 22nd at 2pm (Location TBD)

c.       Monday, September 25th at 10am or 5pm (Location TBD)

3.      Early October: the Weatherhead Undergraduate Programs team will email you with your match information or inform you of your waitlist status.

Please contact Megan Miller, mxm941@case.edu, with any questions.
