About Ka-Pi Hoh:
Dr. Ka-Pi Hoh joined Lubrizol in 1988 as a Research Chemist. At Lubrizol, she has held a variety of leadership positions involving research technology, commercial development and resource management including an expatriate assignment in the United Kingdom. She has just returned from a three-plus year expatriate assignment in Zhuhai, China, as the Head of Research, Development and Testing for Lubrizol Additives China.
Hoh is actively involved with Lubrizol’s diversity initiatives; she has been a member of Lubrizol’s Corporate Inclusion Steering Committee and is a founding member of the Asia-Pacific Resource Group as well as Women in Lubrizol Leadership.
Hoh graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a BS in Polymer Engineering and a minor in Economics, where she also earned her MS and PhD in Macromolecular Science. As a Case Western Reserve alumna, she is currently on the Case Advisory Board and is an Alumni Association emeriti board member. She has chaired the Industry Advisory Board for the Department of Macromolecular Science and served on the Community Advisory Board of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women. She is a professional mentor for WISER (Women in Science and Engineering Roundtable).
Hoh is also involved with The Lakeland Foundation at Lakeland Community College, the Andy Nowacki Memorial Scholarship, the American Chemical Society, the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS), and Leadership Lake County. She has an appointment as an Associate and Visiting Professor at the Zhuhai College of Jilin University. She received the YWCA Woman of Professional Excellence award in 2008.
