Student/Faculty Community Service

Connect with Faculty while Doing Good!

The Office of Student Experience has been working with faculty members to bring you new opportunities to connect with Weatherhead and the greater community. With the generous help of Professor Goldberg, we have arranged our first Student/Faculty Community Service day. On February 5, The Office of Student Experience will bring Weatherhead students to Citizen's Academy in Cleveland. Citizen's Academy is a charter school of which Professor Goldberg is a board member. Weatherhead Students will present a business case to third graders and help them develop a fun business plan for their own ice-cream shop. Weatherhead Students will then be treated to a tour and lunch with the school's director and Professor Goldberg. Weatherhead students will be able to learn hands on, and through discussion with faculty, the benefits of being involved with organizations and non-profits that support their beliefs and benefit from their talents.
We encourage students to register early for this event, as there is limited space to allow for more discussion and connection between students and faculty. Students should plan to be at Peter B. Lewis no later than 9 a.m. to depart for Citizen's Academy. Casual Dress.
