Meet with an Executive Series: Mike Chapman

This series invites key alumnus or alumna not only to talk about his or her career and life path, but also to showcase his or her strong personality and motivate students to confidently take control of their career paths and overcome any potential challenges.

Mike Chapman, an alumnus of the Weatherhead MBA program and now Partner in the New York City office of Accenture, will be our second guest this season.
Mike Chapman is a Partner in Accenture’s Management Consulting practice, aligned to the Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) industry group in North America, with a focus on strategy consulting.  Mike is based out of Accenture’s Metro New York offices, and his geographic project experiences include clients located in the United States, Canada, UK, France and South Korea.  Mike has responsibility for management consulting sales and delivery at domestic and global clients and startups within Accenture’s CMT Atlantic Client Service Group in North America.  He also serves as the client account lead at three of Accenture’s newest CMT clients. 

Mike has over 11 years of experience as a consultant working with organizations in the Media and Entertainment, Technology, Cable, Telecommunications and Consumer Electronics industries globally.  He has led multiple engagements for Accenture’s largest clients on corporate strategy and growth, product development and operational strategies.  Mike’s recent focus has been on digital content and digital services strategies that encompass integrated multi-channel go-to-market approaches, and leverage content, services, devices – utilizing soft panels and mobility.  He has worked in the intersection between digital and physical retailing, and advised clients on how to exploit opportunities utilizing combined assets. 

Mike holds an MBA majoring in Finance and Strategy and a MSM-IS from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Class of 2000.  He was the first student from WSOM to complete the 48-hour MBA and MSM-IS joint degree program in approximately 18 months.  He was also the first student from WSOM to be hired into Accenture’s strategy consulting practice.  Mike is originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio and currently lives on the east coast.
