Many IT and engineering professionals believe that great technical skills will guarantee professional success. However, it has become increasingly clear over the last decade that those who truly succeed are those who combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. Technical professionals are required to interact with a wide range of both internal and external clients: from colleagues and supervisors, to end-users on the front line, to those in the executive suites. To be successful, it is important to learn how to articulate expertise, to communicate clearly and effectively, and to relay ideas and solutions with efficiency and impact. This intensive, hands-on workshop will combine leading edge research with interactive exercises and role-plays. The workshop will aim to enhance each participant’s communication, creativity, self awareness and relationship building skills.
