Why Cleveland to Study FinTech?
As the only program of its kind in Ohio and one of the first in the nation, Weatherhead’s Master of Science in FinTech program opens doors to students globally.
The Weatherhead School and Cleveland are located between the largest banking center in the US (New York) and the largest hub for quantitative trading (Chicago), and near emerging FinTech hubs in Detroit and Pittsburgh.
Hands-on experience to get ahead
The Master of Science in FinTech program curriculum includes experiential team projects spanning two semesters (fall and spring).
Under the guidance of a practitioner instructor or full-time faculty member, students will pick a real-world project in the FinTech space to complete in parallel with regular coursework. Before students even graduate, they will have real-world experience and learn to apply different facets of learnings from various courses in an integrated manner to address real-life challenges related to FinTech.
Other activities include:

These treks provide students with the opportunity to visit and learn about various firms and to meet and form relationships with leaders in the field.
The Master of Science in FinTech program will host several seminars a year led by Fintech experts. These seminars introduce students to a variety of sectors in finance, give them the opportunity to network with top finance professionals and provide a valuable opportunity for students to understand what is needed to succeed in these jobs.
